Confident that the breeze would help me stay in a great mood. Confident that Shark would not do what Shark did. He used up seven of his lives when he came with the wiggling creature. I saw it happen, and ran to stop it. Bam! He dropped the terrified rodent at my feet. In two blinks the creature was gone, under my empty filing cabinet. I went from zero to sixty in three. Beyond irritated. Shark looked pleased, which added to my irritation. “It’s your friend,” I said. “Get it!” He was not in the mouse-collecting mood any more. Wandered off to the porch, took two prissy steps, Laid down and rolled over, furry tummy up. I tore the filing cabinet apart; no mouse of course. I cannot wait to figure out where it will end up tonight.
