Sometimes Where Does Listening 2 Other's Get You
Sometimes if all we do is take on board and listen to other's opinions We may fall into the trap of believing everything we hear But based on what exactly Good or bad intentions or emotions Using myself as an example I was always told so therefore assumed i was fat But yet looking back really wasn't Likewise being told by teacher's i was stupid or had no aptitude for learning Presumed i was thick But on reflection now looking back probably really wasn't but honestly maybe was Because if one is to act in a certain way i suppose you can not complain if the label is to stick So to me when i read a comment on one of my poem's that describes it as clever or well written I never take it for granted but rather to heart As it makes me think and feel something that i was told growing up i never was or could possibly aspire to be But you never know what you are capable of unless you give it a go When you are good and ready and in your own time And you find your voice and are happy and willing to open up and express What can at 1st be taken and dismssed As folly later can become Something so much more than i'll advised retorts jotted on a report card for parents evening To use as inspiration for future reference When down and feeling stupid and fat
