Eternal Flow
ETERNAL FLOW long ago I went to hometown to visit my Grandpa, at that time, he was ninety years old and wished to see my little daughter. My one and half -year old daughter was then continuously trying to catch new words increasing her vocabulary, so nice to watch a baby growing up day by day, an ethereal ecstasy. Grandpa was sitting on an armchair. I had lent my two fingers to my daughter to hold and we were walking on adjacent garden path. My daughter was chirping and giggling, Grandpa was relishing and enjoying. Suddenly he sighed and spoke to me ‘My child, as you are now walking merrily holding hand of your little daughter, sixty years back, I also walked on the same garden path holding hand of my little daughter.’ I suppressed my tears. Now when I watch my Granddaughter to walk holding hand of her Mom, I am to sigh ‘My days are gone.’ affection, caress, emotive urge surges, flows through generations. 04/17/21 Second Place ' Moments of Reflections' Contest by Malabika Choudhury 'All Yours ( May 25) Contest by Brian Strand
