Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions. ~ Augusten Burroughs Following my heart… I’ve found Sometimes I’m led into pain Reflecting off of my feelings Like a dewdrop on a soft petal Caressing the hope with the understanding That it will soon be only a memory A recollection passing through the light Of a sunshine so shimmering and bright Following my heart… I’ve found Sometimes my head isn’t in harmony With what my heart longs for The cuddle, the embrace, the kiss That whispers of a faith in my beloved Which my head might hesitate to agree with Or remind me that I can’t believe in Every kindness, warmth or caress I need Following my heart… I’ve found Sometimes I’m filled with love so alive It dances across the hopes that thrive Sending life through my bursting veins Happiness through my dreams of grace Joy that sings like a great soloist This love I believe is the beginning of a life That abides in God’s greatest truth Following my heart… I’ve found Sometimes my mind wants to question What I believe is the flow of a gesture So amazing and bright it sends the breeze Through the night, colors the soul in hues Of laughter, light and love so alive That their song drifts through the skies Enlightening, breathing a whisper of delight Following my heart...
