Internal Storm
I guess it is cold- wind shakes my body, I watch behind grey clouds- lost and scared, The people- I see them, but they only “see” me, They can not see the weather. I guess it is raining- it's pouring down from my eyes, I look down- let it pour, It can not add too much to the flood, The wind and the rain mix. I guess the air is too thick- hard to take in, I gasp, I struggle, I can not breathe, The wind, the air, the rain combine, I stumble with each step. There is hail now. It hits me, over and over, knocking me down, I can not hide the storm behind closed curtains, The windows break. The people- the people see now, The storm breaking through the windows behind my eyes, They stand- worried, unsure of why i did not prepare, They can not feel what they see. They walk away leaving me- shaking from the wind, crying with the rain, fighting against the air, falling with the hail, They leave me to repair before my next storm.
