Game Night
Game Night A night on the couch Like every other night You are there with Your dog and T.V. And start up a game, Your favorite, Mario Bros. The T.V. starts up And your face fills With utter delight as You hear the theme song You hum along to the Rhythm peacefully Then the screen cuts To black for a second Scaring you with the Sudden silence around you The T.V. then makes a Shrill sound that makes You feel your ears are Bleeding, leaving you Petrified and trembling Sitting there on the couch The screen turns Back on to the Same Mario screen But no noise is Heard, none at all Mario is also Looking straight at You, and you can’t Tell if he is mad Or very sad, as His face looks Unhappy, maybe even Dissatisfied, seeing You sitting there Doing nothing but staring Your trembling hands Pick up the controller As you try to steady Your breathing, but Then Mario moves And you flinch Away from the T.V. And controller You notice Mario Now has a slight smirk, As if he enjoyed Seeing you in terror His eyes have now Darkened and he Looks slightly taller, Towering over you While you sit on Your couch by Yourself, your dog Not in sight Because it ran When the shrill Sound had happened You are alone with Mario on the screen, Scared and anxious Of what might to be Mario comes closer, Staring down at you Silent, but swiftly He comes towards you, Comes out of the T.V. And jumps above you Then all you see Is a black screen With two words Written in blood red, They shine and drip And say in all capitals GAME OVER! Written on February 3, 2020
