Setting By Example
Overnight she grew glomming onto branches of a sparkle tree The faerie village was gobsmacked, hard pressed to explain. Had this marvelous castle sprung from the pretty pink bud they had admired so? Or was the bud now a beautiful full flower inside the castle? It was a puzzle until their faerie queen came to the window and waved. The crowd went wild, recognizing her although they had never seen her. She blew kisses, and they blew kisses. The tree began to shake her leaves. The leaves fell down, providing them with beauty, hope, and optimism. Do we get our love from the princess or the tree? A tiny faerie boy asked. We get our optimism and hope from example replied his sister, Ezmersmarta. The princess smiled as she watched her subjects laughing, playing, throwing leaves. Another magical day in her world. Her spaceship castle turned on its engines. Her subjects looked up and cheered as the castle hovered above the tree. “Good bye! Good bye!” They yelled, throwing joy and happiness her way. They understood she had to spread her charisma to other faerie villages, “The attitude and happiness of the people is exampled by the revered.” Written 2-5-2021 Contest: Fable Musings Sponsor: Joseph May
