Oceans of Happiness
Oceans Of Happiness I remember when I knew it was no longer me and you, word’s from your mouth said you cared but your eye’s showed the lie. We made love it was a chore, no love or joy, was pushed away and made out I was the bad guy. You walked away no looking back, I was left asking what went so wrong? That was then this is now, I’m free to realise you played me for a fool, life is smile’s all around, now no longer at your beck and call. Head up high frown turned upside down, back straight new friends I’ve found, old one’s still here showing I did no wrong. Time did stop, now I use that pain as a starting block no looking behind me my future not set-in stone, no longer afraid of being alone. Things I’ve done since you’ve been gone, chances now taken no longer afraid of you putting me down. A prison in my mind you had confined me sentenced to a life of misery, now I’m so free rivers of happiness flows over my soul, to oceans of discovery. By Patrick D
