We made love it was a chore, no love or joy, was pushed away and made out I was the bad guy. You walked away no looking back, I was left asking what went so wrong? That was then this is now, I’m free to realise you played me for a fool, life is smile’s all around, now no longer at your beck and call. Head up high frown turned upside down, back straight new friends I’ve found, old one’s still here showing I did no wrong. Time did stop, now I use that pain as a starting block no looking behind me my future not set-in stone, no longer afraid of being alone.
