A Prayer Cry
Lord, I cry and sometimes become speechless. Lord, I am deeply grateful that your ears are not as ours, And that you don't always require uttered words as a definition Of prayer or a condition to be heard by you. How Great you are. You see Lord, I cry mostly inside when certain things seem hopeless. Speechless at times, because we mortal don't always understand the pain Of another mortal, and times when nothing I could say would change anything. It's often momentary, but at least 'a prayer cry' is the way I feel at that moment. I feel such pain when I perceive that injustice or human wreckage has been served. It seems that egregiousness surfaced heavily in 2020, and I felt its deep pains. A friend observed it succinctly when she said to me, "You hurt because you care". Lord, I have not always realized that 'caring or giving a hoot' was so painful at times. . . . . . . 010520PS
