Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required New Year The snow is here An extra chill Besets my brain With all that will.. For me the time of year is blue As tinsel gold is rolled With frosty pages, white and new. And all the thoughts of what has passed Amassed in my tiny head Need clearing.. As we are now New Yearing Despite the things we left unsaid The warmth of Summer sun's broad smile Keeps me hopeful And all the while My throat is full Of words I want to cry But fall shy of the courage to risk it As I may appear morose Or less optimistic The truth is this; There are many like me Walking through Winter's bleakness And feeling far less jolly In our lockdown-town With it's political frown And the long-flowing gown Of the media spree So.. Let's band together, Oh women and men of the snow And celebrate wilderness While there's nowhere to go We can reset our smiles From black heartless coals And begin to remember our hopes, Dreams and goals. Though the wintery vibe in our hearts has us gripped That new story ahead means old news Can be ripped.. and replaced So.. Grab you a pen, a keyboard, a quill And begin that new story Or poem, to thrill For the world needs your words and your thoughts And be thankful.. It will And may Winter soon pass for you.. Into warmness From chill. Jinjagoliath 29th December 2020
