Watch out, one father told his son, or it’s off with your head. He decided he would please her, he would retain life instead. She walked with a flourish, her blue satin dress a fine swish. She had a gorgeous look about her, thinks young Stud Fish. Ignoring his father’s counsel, he tried to catch her green eye. She stopped in front of him, giving him a thumbs up kind of sigh. The Mantises in waiting were excited, for he had a handsome side kick. Jasper was hustled into their chamber, where their perfumes were thick. Stud Fish was taken behind the throne room, in a secret kind of way. He knew he was going to father some princes before end of this day. His father yelled “I love you son” which made him irritated. He was sure the ruthlessness of Queen P. Mantis was highly overrated. His mother began to wail and weep; his parents began to keen. He gave an apology quickly to the lovely, beautiful young queen. The deed was done, and he felt confident everything was quite all right. Everything got black and he found himself surrounded by white light. Walking up Jacob’s ladder, he saw his sidekick Jasper up ahead. That’s when he remembered the queen had bitten off his head.
