Peace On Earth Good Will To Men
Humble beginnings, a stable, for there was no room in a home. A star in the East foretold the Savior’s birth, to shepherds who roam. They followed the star, and knelt at the babe’s sweet tiny baby feet. Both father’s standing guard, and his mother Mary, a little bit beat. Little Lord Jesus, named by His Father in Joseph’s foretelling dream, As magical as the cosmos had shown in slumber’s moonbeam. An essence about him that projected out from the unassuming hay. Born in an animal stable, on what is now known as Christmas Day. A reverent hush fell in Bethlehem that wonderful soul-searching night. Residing animals were quiet. Their silence reflecting Our Savior’s light. Three Wise men understood the prophecy, and followed that star. Had traveled a long time, but felt it was worth it in the end, not so far. Shepherds were holding lost baby sheep in their arms that sacred night. Paying the ultimate shepherd respect; a fabulous, telling sight. Mary did not question it as people came to pay their respects. Joseph smiled as others gave a quick tiny reverent genuflect. With birth of Baby Jesus, God brought a promise to the world that night. “Peace on earth, good will to men,” told by angel, most welcome sight. World was changed in that stable in that manger, by God’s only Son. He is our Messiah, Immanuel, the hope of the future, truly the only One.
