The Cry In My Heart
The Cry in My Heart Shadows of trees and windowpane move slowly across the wooden floors. I watch as the shadows envelop the sorrows of my broken heart, and still no comfort. What is it that drives me to seek this deep Love that cannot be filled, only to have it torn apart? Darkness descends on my log home as it deepens my heartache. I need to move. I walk out to the porch and sit in my rocking chair. There, for a moment, the sunset comforts me as it slowly sets with all its magnificent, radiant colours. Is God embracing me? The gentle southern wind blows across my face as twilight recedes. The stars begin to shine on this beautiful clear sky, beckoning me to come with them. Still, my heart cries for Love. I bow my head, pray for comfort and pray for Love, then I feel this loving arm embracing my shoulders. I look up at my friends' beautiful blues eyes as tears run down my cheeks. She sees the hurt in my eyes and gives a deep hug and cries with me. I thanked her for being here in these dark times and asked her if she wants some supper. She said "yes, but I'll cook.". We walked into the house, and she turned on the lights. She hustles to the kitchen as my eyes view her radiant smile. Her long golden hair covers her right eye in a mysterious beckoning. I am wondering, these weeks of torment has yet to calm me? Yet my dear friend in a moment calms my spirit and has been with me all this time. We finished our supper, and she looked up with tears in her eyes and said: "I Love you!" I then realize that I will never have a broken heart. I went to my dear friend, and we embraced, and I said. I Love You.
