Light On the Devil's Chord - the Return To Everlasting Light, By the Shadow of Coming War
I returned to God, No fear in my heart, But comfortable communication, And trusting affection. Heart bleeding for my losses, I had missed His presence greatly. He spoke easily and lovingly, As I lay in the grass with a Nearby grazing lion, running My fingers easily through his Mighty mane, Drawing strength from his Powerful purrs: "At last you return to Us, Bloomed Daughter of Light, We know as well as the universe I did not send you into the pit To see where your loyalties lie, But to show you at last where your Heart is meant to be. You have seen much more Than you have first requested. Just as you have drawn strength In this very moment you return, Have you drawn strength from Your past, believing in your own Power at last. Do not lose it—for Choice is Always your gift, no matter Your present commitments to Me. If you shall fight alongside thine Enemy, sevenfold shall I love you— Evermore shall I love him, For you are my shining Daughter, And he is my mourning son. I know what sickness prevails you To leave your lost Love alone To his own inner ruination. The ties have been made, lovely daughter, And he is as free as he can be In the safe spaces of his heart, That you have helped him create. —if only his heart should speak For the dreadful dragon still fighting To win and who salivates at the thought Of vengeful War." My cheeks still bloodstained, Fresh tears fell, glistening At the thought of my Prince, Overtaken by the dragon’s lust for War. When shall the violence finally end? I gazed at the clear, starry night Comforted by the sleeping beast Breathing deep beside me, and By the all-encompassing words Of God's eternal blanket of Mercy. Our Devil would be released soon, As was foretold, to frenzy again a rested world— To perturb to its old ways once again, So that the fruit may be shared. Belief would be mine to choose Just as it was theirs to choose-- The World at large—filled with Dragons, devils, and behemoths, Preparing their bludgeoning weapons And churning ever hatefully in that Mighty Maelstrom of created song. I saw it as it was to be: Cynical Death soon rising Alongside Hopeful Hades— Waiting for the end, And the strange female grin of Lady Darkness, Increasingly vitriolic for blood, And sorely ripped away now From my beloved—rising—singing—Prince. Note: This is the final section of the Light On the Devil’s Chord series. I hope you enjoyed.. thank you all for your kind support throughout the years.
