Overwhelmed With Gratitude
I must say that it doesn't get more real than this. When I saw the contest title, Attitude Of Gratitude, I expected to enter it, but did not know when or what approach I would take. Then came Saturday night at a worship service at our church. I don't even know if this approach is a good one for the contest, because I had been thinking of 'things more specific' for which to be grateful. I was even tossed over whether it should be an expression of gratefulness to God or some individual act toward myself. Anyway, today when I debated about the contest, I thought about a worship experience on Saturday night. That's when I decided to share that experience in this contest entry. After about 10 minutes of worship, a song began entitled, "Your Goodness Is Running After Me''. It's not every worship song that arrests and captures me. Once in a while, for me anyway, a song will fill my soul with music and words that overwhelm me and melt my heart to tears. In this case, I was enthralled by the song and I could not cease from weeping as my mind took me back over the many years of experiencing God's goodness. I wanted to fall prostrate to the floor in honor and gratitude to God but did not, so as not to distract others in their worship. In my tunnel of time, any bad experiences from people or circumstances were frail in comparison to the richness of God's goodness. And on Saturday night, my soul was showered with the thrill of God's Goodness running after me. 083120PSCtest, Attitude Of Gratitude, Francine Roberts
