Back To Darkness
As the sun sets gently on the beautiful mountain tops as she kisses them goodnight, as she disappears slowly, so does my love. The light that was within me is now gone, an empty shell I shall remain. Tonight will be the longest darkest night I shall live through. I sit at night watching the midnight luminaries, watching the wonders of creation. Observely watching as the flowers close, the animals lay their heads and the numerous families sleep. Yet I wonder when my light shall return, oh how beautiful and warm her love is. Her beautiful and wonderous eyes shine through my dark soul, Oh how her soft warm hands touch my dark and hardened heart; How her Angel's danced with my demons, bringing them peace. But my sun has now set and gone to rest, I do not know when she will return to shine her light and soft gaze towards me. But I will wait patiently in this forever darkness. The sun may never rise again, but with this I am content. As long as she rests, as long as she is warm and loved, I will be at peace. Forevermore more I shall remain in this darkness, "One day" I say to myself " One day she may return, to generously bestow upon me her warm love". But if she never returns, I will find peace in this dark lonely night.
