Flowers For Emma
The nurseries wake within their field, as the Liliums lift and liberate. Rise oh children of heaven, for Emma speaks to you of joy… She dances with Daisies, amidst the diminishing dawn, Pleasantly prancing ~ within perennial pastures; The Gardenias gather amongst the mist, for Emma quenches their thirst. The Oncydium Orchids orchestrate, symphonies of love… She then gives compassion, to the ruling Roses; For she caresses them one by one… Making the Peonies jealous. The Dahlias are in disdain, Spreading their colorful cluster, with exotic efflorescence; The Violets are vigorous, while the dormant Daffodils dream… She then dines with the Delphinium, And thus enters the court of the Chrysanthemum Queen; She cares for all her children, Each a jewel from heaven… Where Emma now resides. ___________________________________ My mom was a whiz with flowers...she loved them like children. She passed 3 years ago from multiple myeloma...my dad now plants many flowers in her honor and respect...I will do the same. The garden was her sanctuary... *********************************************** June.10.2020 Garden Poetry Sponsored by~ Dear Heart Placed 1'st...Thank you
