A Poetic Courting Appearance
Sitting in a car Coming from the bar After studying the law While waiting for an agent’s call Star she was Getting a little buzz Enough to brag About the information reported in the modeling rags Romantic comedy made her name Brought a nice fortune along with fame Playing the guy’s game Acting like last century’s dame With finances in the bank Her legal academic credits earned noted as top rank Being very smart Dressing for each part Looking cute In that runway business attire suit Carrying the fashionable case Protecting an image that says “the legal test you will ace” Going into her rented one bedroom There is good news feeling that loomed A red light blinked Making her stop and think Pressed the button and a small recorder rewound There was a message to be found “You passed the bar on Success Street Isn’t that sweet?” Going over to the cabinet she took a shot Still looking hot Raising a toast No more need to talk to the comedic host “I do declare A profession where The truth will be told From me a beauty that is bold Guiding a light To those restless and young needing a fight” Taking a swift swig Removing the puffy powder wig What was there? An honest color hair “See you in court I am still powerful as I was wearing those luring shorts”
