Truth Is, I Lied
Stumbled into a messy bathroom gazing at a sorry-looking moron in front of an unforgiving mirror; Head cracking while the world reels, groping for the damn remote control, breath badly reeking of alcohol; Who cares what CNN or Fox News claims, not my business if Wall Street crashes out, nor Steve Fossett’s plane’s whereabout; Go to hell Obama and you too Osama! so what if oil dips under ninety a barrel or if the frigging economy is fragile; Truth is I lied and it terribly hurts keeping a front and pretending that losing my girl is no big deal; Say, can you help me, John McCain or for that matter, you Sarah Palin as my world goes down the drain; Lost again in her memory tonight easily I cry and just easily I die now that baby’s gone for good.
