Welcome, Princess Sarah
Brought by the Lord as grand answer to our prayer request A sweet princess who reigned in your mother’s womb, so blest Baby Sarah*, welcome to our home of love’s fullest Your haven of bliss, shielded from pandemic’s pest. Precious baby** princess, serenely jubilant Really, you exude hope’s radiance, innocently elegant Inspiring us, though in a quarantine, to stay triumphant Nourished by the Lord’s grace, constantly abundant. Cute family princess, keep growing with caring nurture Expressed by opulent compassionate venture Secured are you around kindness of gracious gesture Settled to have a godly princess heart, devoid of pride’s posture. (Acrostic in Rhyme) *Genesis 17:15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. {Sarah: that is Princess}. **This poem is supposed to be for the baby of a friend who gave birth to her first child on April 15, 2020 after two miscarriages. (I just learned later that the baby is a boy). April 24, 2020 2nd place, "Sarah" Poetry Contest Sponsored by Julia Ward; judged on 5/17/2020.
