That Smile On Her Face
A smile on her face and a gleam in her eye*, As she kisses him on lips and adjusts his tie, A day long wait to surprise him at the door, joy of motherhood can’t be contained anymore! His joy shot up on the barometric scale, He dropped the brief case as words fail, He held her in his arms, delight on his face, Filled her with kisses she could use for days! Two years to marriage and setting up home, Pink love and kisses wherever they roam, Delights of food, flavoured with her passion, flowers and chocolates are a daily occasion! Young couple in love like a garden of roses, perfume of pleasure in unceasing doses, But here was their moment to crown it all, She would be a mother before next fall. A woman varies her smile for different reasons, Like nature varies it’s flora with the seasons, Red rosy smile is an invitation to romance, wry smile, a rejection of amorous advance. How about that smile that says ‘it’s okay’? your wise eye tells you, she means ‘no way!’ the smile that colours her face at wedding bells. is one that reappears when her tummy swells! It was that smile that she greeted him with, It had love, passion, gratitude and full width, the smile on her face and gleam in her eye, was graduation to motherhood of a girl once shy!
