Tribute To a Woman of God
Virtuous woman: she exemplified Compassionately firm, steadfastly right Blissfully cheering to make each day bright Sharing sweet kindness with faith fortified. Pastor’s wife whose smile unceasingly glows Mom caring for kids in her gracious poise Unmindful of heart ailment’s weary noise A friend to hear shared times of highs and lows. Down the lane, she would be seen in her zest Giving Gospel tracts, declaring Christ’s love Leading others to worship God above Inviting them for prayer midst trust’s best. I thank the Lord for her blest legacy Mentoring well as to what is great gain Joyous life vanquishing affliction-pain Spending all by the Lord’s sufficiency.* Gazing at her face for the last moment Exuding well beauteous serenity I sensed her spiritual security She had testified with hope’s fulfillment. *2Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God. This is my special way of remembering Sis. Cecil Recto who is now with the Lord.
