Memories of You
Sometimes I get a little worried Sometimes I feel sad Sometimes I start to wonder If the pain is really over. Trying to picture you in my mind Gets harder each time I try Trying to remember your words Whispered saying I held dear Trying to push away the pain Always trying to keep you near. Scared to admit the longing Afraid to show my tears Hidden in my bedroom No one knows their there. Each night I feel the torment Taste the tears from my eyes Grab my pillow in anguish Let out a deep sigh. Old pictures torn Faded from the years Hold a glimpse into the past Your once smiling face is there. Trying to be strong Holding on to the past Reading old letters Memories don't seem to last. Trying to remember phone calls Knowing there are few Quick notes on a birthday card The ones that said "I love you". Hearing your distant voice In the back of my mind I guess what I'm saying is Your running out of time. With each passing of each day Morning into night I'm slowly forgetting the Things left behind. I love you, I know That will never change. I guess I"m wondering If you feel the same.
