The Car Toy
The lady carried the colorful basket- Laden with beautiful toys, Sounding high in the air, Above the basket that she laid on her head. Throwing words to attract kids Mostly of that poor class who often gaped at; She went to two streets- Now almost completed one-quarter of her toys. The sight of hers attracted many kids Those who simply played on the roads; The sun almost declined for the day The moon-lit night showed blackened clouds. The lady was still far from reach For the poor child who counted on the colorful toys. It became pitch dark when the lights went off! For the day followed her on foot after foot The child had almost ran into his hut- When it started to rain And the toy lady ladden her basket to the kid's home Simply to put back her sacks and baskets to safety. Light again, laid on the corners of the house The kid amused at the colorful basket Full of toys that he never had seen, Except for the small ones he got as gifts- From his mother's landlords. He had never got a chance to eye so many of them Now almost in his house for quarter of an hour. He kept chucking at the big car ; Who would at any time give him such a day! He had prayed to God many times before For more of toys that an angel might give him. Today, he was at his sleep time Then the rain stopped. The lady got up and packed her things And the kid was gazing open-mouthed at the toy basket Could he ever get a glimpse of all? Then he suddenly saw the toy car Hidden in the mats beneath, His mother went out for a stary gaze At the lady with the toy basket- Who completely lost through the blackened clouds. The child then made a way out to the streets end Now speeding his car through the planes of his poor home. With all fun and with all of happiness That the day ended with his prayers fulfilled, And he lost to the car toy For one day he could really drive a real car To the poor streets, There once where he was! Now thunders hit and he seldom stayed In straw houses of all poor hit Might be he washed away all that is poor With his dream of car to real life now! With more hearts to lit with life, He started to cross the streets, He might turn poor houses to stoned ones, And would educate all poor souls, Like once what he has been! The scenes that stayed with him now Days went and went For he aired the streets, lit them lights Gave them food, sent kids to schools For old to dream of what might happen to the poor kids the next day
