Mists Flow
Sitting quietly on the lunchtime break in the room now empty of all when quietly she does walk in and seeing her youth the memories begin on the stage as auditions began as each of us tried out for one of the roles and she was there and so was I the first time ever that we did meet time together each learning are parts and time together when the rehearsals did end of quiet walks and stops in the dark and quietly learning just who we were we were so young together to be and others watching knew it should never be I was not the one to grant her dreams and now I wonder if happy as she time travels on and journeys I took many places and people did I see and now I remember one I met and of the mysteries she did show me together in darkness in places unknown she did guide me to places I knew do not teaching of many things that might be in finding the places that I would not go quietly I sit lost in memories watching her and wondering who she might be wondering of her wants and of her dreams of just to and what might she be so many have I known through the long years so many travels to places far and near time spent together both long and short ending darkness when we drifted apart memories fade and faces are lost names half remembered of each of them of the places we went in all that we did when together long ago were we now just an old man reminiscing am I gazing upon the young woman I see as memories spring forth of all that I knew and I wonder of each of them did they find love and have families children and grandchildren now do they have and maybe faint fading memories thinking now and then remembering me closing my eyes shaking my head setting aside the memories of them wondering of the young woman I see and of the memories that one day she'll have
