Why Me
In past few years, child abuse and rape cases have suddenly doubled in number. This is something very heart wrenching, how can they steal childhood from young buds and inculcate terrible memories....wrote this poem when a 6 years old girl was rapped and killed somewhere in Hangu last year) WHY ME! Above the clouds I was flying with an angel's wings Busy in talks with the rising moon along chukar partridge When my mother woke me up from my dream To have breakfast with my favorite cream "Today You will learn alphabets Comeback home before sunsets" Then, I was sent to a town school 'What I learn  will be my jewel' On the gate a guy hold my hand I resisted but he gave me a chocolate__black He said he had more And promised to show me dinosaur He toke me to a wrecked cottage Took my bag & striped my uniform; fully savaged I cried, I punched him, I screamed A Mountain fell over a tiny ant Squishing a world beneath As if Earthquake is invading land with its sharp teeth Eyes were opened, but the view was dark My little heart was beating as if trying to vanish very fast My mind was stucked, unable to figure out what just happened While he raised & checked my breath and chuckled He then placed his big rough hands around my neck I thought of mother waiting for me at dusk Voice couldn’t come out my lips But I was pushed out my body while the sun eclipsed I looked at the petals and the rock beneath And I ran, I ran till I reached heavens Still trying to find out my fault I haven’t learn my alphabets yet Mother still waits for me but in a psyche ward beside the tree I visit her daily but won't see me... Why it had to be me?  (Paghunda zahid)
