The Sleeping Demon- By a Ten Year Old
As I closed my books, And went into the bedroom, I saw a faint figure, With a balloon as a stomach. As I moved closer, A horrible noise started, Ugh! It was terrible, ZZZ.... SNORE..... ZZZZZ...... Hoping for the best, I lay on my bed, And crying, I spent an hour This horrible noise would not let me sleep, If I live to wake up in the morning, No one would believe my adventure, At the least, the guys in the hostel I prayed to the rain gods, To send down pitter-patter, To reduce this noise, But it turned out, The gods were worthless The snoring did not stop, And it already was 12 'o' clock, The clock struck ding, And I cuddled up in my bed, But only to hear the echoes of his snoring He slept on like a king, And I was walking up and down, Thinking of outwitting him I threw a pail of water at him , To only see him drink it, I left the world, And was on my way to heaven, When his snoring had almost stopped, But again it began, And I was pulled down to hell I threw a packet of Ice cream at him, To only see him lick it, And the night passed, The day began, But the snoring never ended, Half-Asleep I dashed against him, And he gave me a punch, Oh! First that noise, And now the punch, I am really done! I still remember that day, When I was 'killed' that day, I don't really want to say it, God alone knows, If someone else, Had ever heard his snoring, I would give him my best wishes, And donate it for his mourning ceremony!!!!!
