Paradoxically Though
Though absolutely insured because of family’s opulence We can’t verily buy a bed guaranteed to give peace-prevalence. Though our financial records show investment’s gain Our health so stressed complains of physical pain. Though we press toward heights of being prosperous We may retrogress due to financial qualms, grievously torturous. While boastful of grand wealth abundance Our bratty heirs are shameful in their lack of stewardship-guidance. Though testifying about being instilled with values of contentment We discredit ourselves by our dissatisfaction’s predicament. Though we struggle to hide our envy through thanksgiving gesture Our hypocrisy reveals the truth we dismiss in the name of human nature. Though our hearts condemn* us after being convicted with guilt’s admission God forgives, and with His compassion, acknowledges our humble confession. *1John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
