Lost In the Crowd
I stand amidst the crowd listening to them talking very loud I stand amidst the crowd watching them walking about I really don’t feel like talking so I moved away from them And listen to my silent thoughts as they thunder from heaven It is that solemn feelings that you get when heaven and earth is embroiled in a row and the angels stands as referee to separate their destiny. You can feel this heavy feeling that is void of meaning. The sky s are turning grey and the night sky is appearing. The day is almost done but my hour has not yet come, so I rally with the evening with much delight and watch the people as they pass by. Once I thought of the day when this I don’t know what will be done and we will be sailing down the river in a dug out canoe, with the canopy risen high to mystify the heat and penetrated the deep. I wonder what it would be like if I had not come? Will they be running around with a big gun? Banging on doors to apprehend the murderer? What would it be like, if I had not come. It’s like a neighbor knocking on your door at midnight, begging for a loaf of bread to feed their ten hungry children. And the angry neighbor’s husband open the door screaming and shouting at the helpless woman and her children, but the wife with the heart of a child pack a basket with all that she has got and deliver it to the helpless neighbor. I have thought about it several times, and I still cannot comprehend why that man is angry and mean. It is the wiggling worms that are buried deep in the ground that always keep me on the run. In the dark of the night when everything is over, I want you to take me on a speed boat to the distant shore. I want to walk on the shore and listen to the wave dancing and beating against the rocks and watch the night mingle with its own beauty while heavens continue with its solemn duty. Oh how I long for the day when my heart will play the perfect tune, my spirit will be at ease and the Gods will be appeased. I just forget that it is Saturday evening, and mood is very calm Something must have happened to delay the eminent storm The cursing has died down and the clowns are not around It seems as if some dignitary has visited the town Beautiful cars with tainted windshield driving around the town You can hardly see who is sitting in them no matter how hard you bend. What is so special about this town that everyone is coming here? The music, the market, the street and the people’s heartbeat. New faces are pouring in angry faces walking up and down the street with a solemn decree .One by one they have returned to face their forgotten destiny.
