The lightning sometimes strikes, in the middle of the day, while few sleep, and many listen, but do not see. It is painful, but numbing. Until you are no longer aware, that you have been attacked. A force beyond the water's edge, playing in the muck and middle. To kill and drag back for later... eating. Swim strongly, the center of the river is deep. Float along if you must, but do not give up.
