Ode To Goddess of Purest Romance and Sweetest Dreams
Ode To Goddess Of Purest Romance And Sweetest Dreams O' shimmering light, thy gleam so adores stamped and born of hot heavenly fires, as tidal waves splashing on pleading shores beautiful song that this soul never tires, gift thy rapture in golden lace plead I, goddess of Nature's face, O' dancing maiden, of green forested glen voice that truly entices and so allures, temptress of broken and repentant men gifting sweet mercy on fantasy tours, gift thy rapture in golden lace plead I, goddess of Nature's face, Mother earth, awards thy enchanting grace beauty that no mortal breath ever took, born as gift, that no other could replace as an atonement from heart's purest nook, gift thy rapture in golden lace plead I, goddess of Nature's face, Aphrodite, gave wonderment of Love in dawn's glory bathed thy soft countenance, bequeathing thy charms from heavens above as gifts and bounty of purest romance, gift thy rapture in golden lace plead I, goddess of Nature's face, Olympus, set dazzling blue in thy eyes temptations sizzling from thy sexy lips, with star-lighted twinkles from moonlit skies greater than that of treasure laden ships, gift thy rapture in golden lace plead I, goddess of Nature's face, O' goddess send light to this darken soul and divine manna to this famished heart, for evil world has taken heavy toll ripping needed fantasy dreams apart, gift thy rapture in golden lace plead I, goddess of Nature's face, O' goddess thy dear words this soul redeems just as thy soft touch, renews aching heart, to utter solemn vows in midnight dreams begging for more love thy kissing imparts, gift thy rapture in golden lace plead I, goddess of Nature's face. R. J. Lindley, Original version August 7th, 1974, (edited lightly 12/27-2019 to correct to a uniform syllable count ) Ode, ( A Poetic Tribute To Greek Mythology, Nature, Romance And Dreams )
