What a Cat Leaves Under the Tree For Santa
It’s Christmas Eve and I must catch, fish for Santa to fix from scratch. Surely there’s a fish who will snatch; fresh worm from batch, fresh worm from batch. I know he’d love delicious trout, now, that’s something to shout about; I hope this water’s not fished-out; tasty fresh trout, tasty fresh trout. I asked Santa for a new bed, a place where I could lay my head, maybe with a nice warm bedspread; of cheery red, of cheery red. Oh, I’ve caught a nice piece of cod, I wish it could have been some scrod. Last year I got this fishing rod; now I’ve caught cod, now I’ve caught cod. I’ll leave it underneath the tree, Santa Claus will be oh so pleased; I’ll leave it with a slice of brie; he’ll dine with glee, he’ll dine with glee.
