Love Me
Why couldn’t you ever think? Of how your words hurt like a knife? Why’d you have to ruin my life? I could have left you… but still I decided to stay… For Way Too long, I hoped you’d finally changed… Maybe I was too stupid? Maybe my head’s in the clouds… Maybe I ran into Cupid? The one who was messing around… You never truly cared… and all the time I was scared… You would push me around ‘til I was down on the ground… And each time I should’ve prepared… I could have gotten up I could have walked through the door… There were always people who had loved me more… Why can’t I kill all the feelings… That are causing me pain through it all… This is why I can’t trust you… can’t trust anyone at all! Your anger hit me like a brick… If I ever felt love… I thought I could trust you And if I ever felt fear… I would hide the feelings that were true You would call me a ‘good girl’ You would say you were proud… But you didn’t think I’d hear Your rumors spreading around I would open my mouth… Try to calm you down… I’d tell you the good news But you just shut me out And as the light fades away I think of begging the good times to stay When you would actually love me instead of acting so damn fake
