Baby Wait
She was born near midnight Between the spaces of fire and light Behind the veil under the sky Before time before love could make you cry. Gently hovered above the living on angel wings of faith and breath Critical decisions of forging on or death. She was born afraid of home, in respect of witches, dragons and the winds of change. She knew she would be called away could she stay and hold onto time She could not. She heard the calling to go. To return. Birth was not her right. Something had gone wrong. She would never be the perfect image. Begin again. New design. Yet the bubble of ascension had not burst on the spikes of life. Still suspended over the canyon of what ifs....calling her home. Almost dawn now and the moment near. She knows they will come for her. Jump and try or return to die? Go home young one. You're flawed. Even messy puzzles deserve a chance to fit. No. The casing is breaking. The pull back is fierce. Seconds before sunrise. Choices. You won't survive the dark pain of morning. Come on home little one. One last gasp. Goodbye.
