Her Suicide
Her Suicide Her husband said he was leaving The darkness crept into her soul. Why had he been so deceiving? Her eyes looked to heaven with a tragic roll. She did not want to live without him! So, slowly she went into the bathroom and wept! As she stood before the open medicine cabinet, there sat a jar of sleeping pills filled to the brim. She filled a huge glass of water. and swallowed one hundred of them. The skies looked grim as was her imminent death to be. But an angel came to tell her, this was no time to leave. She went and told her husband of her death wish perfidy. He grabbed her quickly and off to an emergency room they sped. She, already falling asleep, her husband, beside himself in fear. His young wife of twenty nodding off in her new dress of red. The husband only twenty-one~ wishing he had a beer, instead! The wife taken into ER, having her stomach pumped. Far from a pleasant situation~ of that I heard of in truth. Her husband in the waiting room as grim as the winter sky. Now repenting, wishing she would not die! After all the retching in ER, she was taken home and slept for days. He had to wake her, feed her and hydrate her, so she would not pass away. He did not leave her then, but did a few years later. Her life went on without him. She never saw all the wonderful gifts God had in store for her. A profession, graduating Cum Laude from university. A time in the performing arts. And best of all a new love and a star-blessed child. So don't be righteous about who is down, and why you think you are so much better! Be a listener,do what you can, to make those who are down feel better. December 5, 2019
