Childhood Memories More Than Falling Out of Trees
Once upon a time In a bygone era circa 1898 In the land of Discovery Gold was found By Fred and Harry Struben Confidence Mine Unsuccessful and with little seam or yield Was abandoned eventually closed down Fast forward to late 1980's To the 2nd part of this tale I now regail 1 of childhood memory Where once Confidence Mine stood A U.F.O house was to be built Bringing the Mountain to life again When the sun set approaching from Allen's Kneck Looking up appearing over the horizon A Flying Saucer would be seen Set upon a vantage point that brings the viewer as close to God as any human gets And the reason why it is where we chose to scatter my Father's ashes My mind wanders i started so I'll finish In search of meaning or connection If i can join the dots or find the connection Maybe the Mine is a Metaphor for Cancer The body shutting down And The U.F.O the hope that there is something out there awaiting our arrival And life is the Mountain we all have to climb along the way
