Don'T Let It Slip Away
Don’t Let it Slip Away Some people hide, from the truth that they see The ice caps are melting, they flow to the sea. The beaches are growing a bit smaller each day Someday all islands might disappear, go away When the humans are using all the worlds’ greatest gifts Think of the torture, the smog, you must make a shift. When the people can go and throw big things in trash And thinking that burning means nothing but ash Burning means smog and smog means thick smoke Dirty air making us all cough and choke What can we do as a small little part? Seeing our world change is breaking my heart. Seeing the damage we have done to our land How much more can anyone stand? Listen to others who have done work to learn How to reuse materials without melting to burn When we take all the trash that we already used Put it together for housing, you really must choose What is better for life in the long run someday When our beautiful earth just slips slowly away.
