And then it clicked inside me As I looked upon my work, The piece that I was missing Was a piece too share my hurt, I spent my days of searching Picking flies out of the ointment, The only thing we shared in Was collective disappointment, I turned another brand-new page And pressed it with my hand, Removing all those creases As I penned my final stand, Around this time I found you And I'm lucky that I did, The poem's I tried to figure out Now lept out from their ink, I saw in you the subtle ways A poet finds his muse, I saw in you the artist's brush And why he paints his views, I saw in you the bard And all the ways he struck a chord, I saw in you the wrath of kings and why he fought his war's, For both the good and evil Share the same internal trait, Those good will tell you freely While those evil may refrain, Since the time our lives began We search for someone who, Will tell us all with purest love.. "I Believe In You"
