Whoever Has Seen Me Has Seen the Father -John 14: 7-11
Jesus speaks to Philip His disciple tells that seeing Him is seeing His father for in knowing Jesus, you know God so those that believe this Jesus will gather Philip still didn't get it asking more 'Lord show us the father' it'll be enough Jesus was exasperated with him by now why is this? it's plain knowledge from above Jesus had been on earth for so long but still, the disciple's minds were yet dull emphasising their unbelief of Jesus God's son God was in Christ revealing to who did He belong Jesus spoke with authority from on high not His own words but those he'd been given for the father does his works in Jesus His beloved son who He sent from heaven So believe in Jesus final revelation the face of God revealed in Jesus Christ those that have seen Christ have seen God for this is God's way for our salvation ("If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.") John 14: 7-11 (ESV)
