Let My Anchor Hold
I heard old weather beaten sea Captains say Lord Let my anchor hold as I lay my head down to sleep For being a sailor isn't as easy as one would think. My Lord takes care of me in my keep From ending up a ground in a heap. Thanks to instruments I pay attention to my vessel Isn't likely to sink. I heard old weather beaten sea Captains say Lord Let my anchor hold as I lay my head down to sleep For I am way out here where the water is deep. Anything can happen in a wink or a blink. My Lord takes care of me in my keep As I watch the dolphins leap I am in their water which isn't rinky dink. I heard old weather beaten sea Captains say Lord Let my anchor hold as I lay my head down to sleep I need to make a living cause life isn't cheap. Believe me when I say life is to short for me to Make a mistake so coffee, tea, and water are all I drink. My Lord takes care of me in my keep Safe from ships that pass me in the night as the fog In does creep I set my coffee mug on the counter-sink. I heard old weather beaten sea Captains say Lord Let my anchor hold As I lay my head down to sleep My Lord takes care of me in my keep.
