The Porcelain Doll
The porcelain doll The odd-looking figure, standing on the shelf, Makes you feel nervous, unsure of yourself, A shadow it dances, slowly passing by, When you look to the shelf, from the corner of an eye, Heartbeat increases, quicker and quicker, You think you see movement, from the porcelain figure. Something is different, its ever so strange, Her feet pointed forward, now the angle has changed, So, sleep now eludes you, when you lay on your bed, And you watch, with one eye, the little dolls head, Did it move, did it blink, did it reach for the wall? Does it send evil thoughts, this porcelain doll? Does it make you un-easy, does it mess with your mind? Do you think you hear footsteps, from somewhere behind? Does it keep your attention, through the whole night? Create nagging doubts, that somethings not right. Do you think that your life it soon will destroy? As you stare at the shelf and the porcelain toy. The lights start to flicker, darkness and gloom, Shadows are dancing throughout the room, The sight is so frightening, the atmosphere cold, But your eyes are so heavy, and sleep takes a hold, You drift from the world and into a dream, There’s a knife in the hand of the porcelain figurine!!!
