Runaway Car
A parent parks at the curb. I walk past the car. But it is a runaway, turns itself on, is dangerously out of control. Driving toward me, hops the curb, chasing me. I run into the school building. Runaway car comes after me. Honking madly. Crashes into the red bricks. BAM! I look through the door and stick out my tongue. Not my best move. Runaway car honks wildly bashes the bricks three more times, Finally backs out and parks herself at the curb. A parent comes past me. I say, "Have a good day." He smiles. I recognize him as the parent of the runaway car. He comes running back into the office a few minutes later. He asks me, "What happened to my car? Did you see anything?" I shrug my shoulders, and say no. Imagining he is in for the ride of his life.
