A Man Who Lived Life Twice - Dizzy
his youth was stolen by undreamt dreams, growing old and always wanting one more his white hair once dark chestnut, now gleams for his quiet nature is not as it seems- no, he’s my baffling father, whom I adore sober for twenty years made him meek, yet walking in his shoes bestows pain- it was always serenity and peace he did seek, but at times he felt as if he failed…(too weak) now only tales of a wandering man does remain but o, you should have seen him shuffle dance back in the day with mama right by his side- videos of them two showing marriage romance could there really be any other circumstance that leaves him grey and still wanting to hide? in his coat pocket coins of temptation, greed once filling voids needing to be filled even now he struggles with communication, leaving me with an uneasy sensation- I wish this relationship we could rebuild an easy walker yes, but in crowds silent, craving the rush of taking away gold- many years of making me dizzy and a defiant daughter who was not always compliant... will we tarry in forgiveness? (tale yet to be told) he was a young man who knew not what he deserved- once an easy walking dancer…now calm and reserved *Back in my dad's drinking days, he came up with a dance.
