Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required Caravans past only smooth memories with countless feet trod hard this road Faintly radiating gentle heat as I travel forward Though it seems invincible impervious to both cruel and gentle weather through experience I can recognize Some travelers have toiled to skin off layers of pavement made hard by precedent They would change the way clearly with no right (it is my road now) to conform it to their liking Many have, selfishly unsatisfied with free protected passage succeeded in changing this road redirecting it for me to follow Like a sheep I am herded always forward steadily nudged onward yet gently by caring, even protective shepherds Mileage signs simply stereotype They read eleven miles no more, no less Am I a reproduction of every other traveler who has reached this point But I am different Never focusing sharply resolutely On the road ahead I have pulled over for a time stopped and enjoyed springtime sun on my cold pale shoulders After all it is the Spring On a picnic in a roadside field grass gives way under my feet keeping an impression even after I leave I know that turning towards Heaven and appreciating clouds' countenance is needed as well Soon even too soon as this paved road ends I will be ready for new roads New journeys to small towns and big cities These new roads though gray and hard never understanding Are green as the grass that enticed and prepared me for this
