Famished and Bleeding This Old Soul Begs This
Famished And Bleeding This Old Soul Begs This Woe! Unto days numbered and grief sicken Love lost saddest of sorrows once stricken How in dear youth life was merry hours sought Now in Time's low fading death I am caught! Alas! Where hides that glory once so bright Its dancing gleams illuminating night Waking in Heavenly skies, moons rebirth From vast galaxies ancient Gods glowing mirth! I beg me, this moment to write to shine Another day to true-claim what is mine This creation to wondrously compose And declare love of poetry I chose! Mind's eye sees beyond that well hidden door From radiant dreams eager soul implores Touch of soft lips once sworn to be my all Memories fleeting, I beg deep recall! This heart crying for more, near its last throes Against curse of ill winds, darkness now blows Pan, bring cheering music, and sweetest wine Allow one more night, her love may I dine! Famished and bleeding this old soul begs this Sight of her blue eyes and lingering kiss Smell of her yellow gold hair, its soft curls Relief from this darkness death too soon hurls! Robert J.
