After the Party- -
A year ago next Saturday; Birth to this couple a daughter; She was perfect to them in every way; She got dirty…after the party; On her hands she had cake on her hands and feet; Purple frosting on her teeth; Sticky-melted ice cream still eats… After the party; Just one year old lot of presents she got; The only one present that meant a lot; Was the balloons her pa pa got; And after everyone left; Yeah! The best present; Was the one pa pa gave, after the party Everyone laughed and cheered; Because she was so endeared; Because of the simplistic present was just her and her family after the party After running around and playing hard; This 3 year old tired now.. Her mom cleaned her up and she laid down.. Asleep now…after the party 6/24/19 After the Party Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Anthony Slausin
