Death
DEATH Every soul is bound to meet The angel of death, will come to greet Behold! That fateful day No escape; No! No way! Health, wealth, and might Offer no help; futile to fight And they imagine life is only one The Hereafter, say, “There’s none!?” Cling to life with persistence, they Desire immortalized existence, they But ordained, it is to end Why? So hard to comprehend!? Such goes the human story Death, causes such a worry Godless souls mortal, indeed Alarmed, when death approaches with speed But death, isn’t dying A new birth, why are they denying? It’s like being born from a mother To a world unknown, and quite a-nother Please, do not take me to the city Ugly, there the night; the sky no pretty Desire I for a place of old Where the Stars sparkle like gold Among the graves I like to walk Among the ghosts in the dark Witness the night, taking life away Dead come alive, from the day Liken I “death” to “night” Dark but hide, they a light “Night”, prelude to “day” so bright “Death”, passage to “LIFE” after plight
