Too Late To Cry
For time passes and I am perpetually left alone; wishing I was weeping with the willows, longing to spread tissues of regret onto lavender fields. There is no room for resentment, no way out of this remorse I wear with ease. Please release me into the sky, Lord. My brightest star descended into nothingness and I am no longer the one who carries his torch. Feel me, my sweet; redeem my love as if I adored you the way you deserve. forsaken lone heart tame touches no longer felt saddened by remorse For I have no tears left to cry. It is too late to show my solitude, too far gone is our devotion. Fear trickles down my spine like a fever with chills longing to be healed. I am but a woman who craves your starvation for me. You used to quench my thirst, now I am caged in a barren desert; dry eyed and abandoned. Constellations called your name when we met. The wonder of the medallion and tangerine sunset was your smile. Now it is past the time of weeping. My eyes can no longer fill with tears; for it is too late. memories of love left my eyes longing to cry- weeping without tears I chose: "Too Late to Cry" Sponsor: Edward Ibeh Date: April 25, 2019
