My Addiction To You
You were my world, my drug, my amphetamine My strength, my comfort, my everything Over time I became weak unable to use my voice, Afraid to make waves afraid to make the choice. Today is the day I will speak without covering my mouth with your hand I deserve to be heard I’m no longer under your command. I was afraid to open up, to face the demons inside But I must be brave and open my heart wide If you don’t understand a word or cant keep up with my little rhyme Please look it up and take your time. My mind clouded by static I became erratic An ecstatic charismatic Emphatic pragmatic addict Constantly battling the traumatic Automatic almost always cinematic Drastic events It can’t be fenced The visions are so clear and defined Like I have travelled through time So vivid and clear to me Sometimes unable to return to reality No matter how many pills I take Or how many pills I take to forget It never goes away The deceit the pain the regret I need a new habit I havent found one yet.
