Married Life
Married Life Written: By Tom Wright 9/29/99 Too many marriages, are void of understanding and goals, and often resemble recess on a playground. Just one big tug of war, between egos, and dispositions, often leaving both spinning like a merry go round, and like a teeter totter, when one appears up, the other is always down. Days are spent climbing the ladder of success or busy playing house, as both endeavor to hop scotch, leap frog, or skip hand in hand through life, while not jumping or sliding from their perch. Often, one party thinks, nights are for swinging and that life, should be some kind of a ball, which leads to their arriving home with eyes like marbles. This behavior will often boomerang on the one involved as that party looks to both hide and seek things from the other, and upon being questioned is apt to respond, "go fly a kite". This invariably causes the other to think, if this were tag, I'd be it, and that life, for them, is fast becoming one continuous game of pin the tail on the donkey, and they're the donkey, or piggy wants a wave and find both hands are tied. But the Irony of this sad tale, as so often happens, before they rally around the pole in prayer and begin pulling together, the recess bell rings. Their race together, is over, because one or both wouldn't ante up. Perhaps, one desires to always be tops.
